It's coming!

Halloween will be here soon! What will you be dressed as this year? Ellie is going to put on those famous ruby red slippers and transform into Dorothy. I don't know what Matt and I will dress up as....this is a "problem" for us every year! Any suggestions?

Are Mormons Christian?

I saw a couple news articles this week where a prominent Evangelical Pastor said that Mormons are not Christians. I felt very sad when I read this and just want to take a moment to express my feelings about Jesus Christ. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I love and worship Jesus Christ as the Savior and Redeemer of the world and I know that I can only be saved through Him. He is the Son of God. He suffered and was crucified for the sins of the world, giving each of God’s children the gift of repentance and forgiveness...and resurrection! I am so grateful to Him and hope to one day kneel at His feet and thank Him for all He has done for me.

This is one of my favorite depictions of the Savior. He is looking over Jerusalem on the Mount of Olives saying, "How oft would I have gathered you as a hen gathereth her chickens, but ye would not." He is always with us and will protect us if we let Him.
