A friend of mine who also has a daughter with Down syndrome has some exciting news. I feel connected to her in a special way because both of our daughters were blessed with an extra chromosome, were tiny premature babies (which is still sort of uncharted territory in the DS community) and spent almost the same number of days in the hospital after birth (105/106) a year apart....plus, we share the same birthday! When I visit Utah, I get to see and hold her - she reminds me of Ellie in amazing and special ways. I feel so blessed to know this family!
On to the good news: this family just announced they are adopting a sweet girl from Reece's Rainbow named Victoria who also has Down syndrome. I'm sure they would greatly appreciate your prayers as the adoption process for Eastern European countries can be challenging. We love you Bonner family and can't wait for you to bring Victoria home!
