Dear friends and family,
The results are in! The deadline for Ellie's walking was midnight last night (her birthday). Since you have all been praying for her, she has definitely had an increased desire to walk and she has made a lot of progress. She can definitely walk (see video)!
Before the prayers started, Ellie had stopped putting forth much effort toward walking and just stubbornly crumpled her legs up every time we tried to work with her. Soon after the prayers began, she started taking steps and has been getting more and more solid at it everyday. Uncle Mike has helped her make some breakthroughs including launching on her own and turning mid-walk. Ellie still has her stubborn moments (don't we all? and prayers still don't override freewill) but she can basically walk as far as she wants to.
Ellie is still not very confident on uneven or scary surfaces like cement and she doesn't use walking as her preferred mode of transportation (still prefers the free ride in daddy or mommy's arms) but she has made miraculous progress. Thank you for your faith and prayers in her behalf and for participating in her development. I'm sure the day will probably come soon when we ask everyone to pray for her to stop walking so much!

Our family watched the video yesterday, and the kids' testimonies of the power of prayer were all strengthened as they watched Ellie walk. They laughed with joy and clapped at the end. Isaac wasn't surprised at all as he said, "See? She's walking for her birthday." and I got to say, "That's right - it's because of all our prayers!" Thank you for including us in this opportunity to pray for Ellie. It has blessed our family tremendously!

Our family watched the video together and it ended with laughter and cheers from our bunch - HOORAY! Isaac said, "See? Ellie walked for her birthday." and I said, "That's because we kept praying for her." We love all of you very much! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to pray for her and to be a part of this miracle. The testimony of the power of prayer has been more deeply seeded in the hearts of my children because of you. Thank you for blessing our lives.
